I am proud of myself..the past few bags I've tried to do haven't ended well. I don't have before photos, but it's made from a long women's jacket from old navy, that I had bought at a thrift store for $10...I was so excited, I didn't really pay attention to the fact that it didn't fit well. The lining is made from a skirt I got for free. I even used the part of the skirt with a zipper to make a change purse :) I used the original pockets for the outside, and made one for the inside.

More Hoop Art
I am loving the hoop art...seriously loving it, having so much fun! Two items sold on etsy, and I posted another one. I am glad other people can enjoy my refashioning too! I need to get down to business and finish photographing the other items I have for sale and get them listed! Fun! :)

fashion for the home
so, being a new mommy i've found that i don't have much time to be on the sewing machine, which kind of rules out a lot of refashions I can wear...but, I've discovered a new favorite project of mine! I have it for sale in my etsy shop...but it's still sitting on my wall from the photo shoot ;)
Thrifted embroidery hoop, thrifted blazer, t-shirt and camisole, thrifted buttons and ta-da!

Dainty Cardigan Refashion
Savers was having a 50% off sale yesterday so I got my friend to go with me and fell in love with this:
But, I didn't like that it was a little wrap around number. So, I got to work! It had lines going down it which were a great guide for turning it into a little cardigan, so I pinned the edge along the line where I wanted it to fall and sewed along that line.
I trimmed the excess, cut the long tie and hemmed it. Sewed up the little hole that the tie was fed through previously and ended up with this nice little dainty cardigan! I love it! The best part? It only costed $3.50 :)

Available on Etsy!
I listed my first refashioned item on etsy today! I took two shirts I got thrifted and made a zipper pouch with a cute bird embellishment! Because one of the fabrics is a cotton/spandex blend, it isn't as square as I'd like, but I am still very proud of it and I hope someone likes it enough to purchase!

I love you, Cuppycake ♥
This is a refashion for the same friend I refashioned for a post or two ago...same style shirt to start off with, in fact! It was very large, as you can tell, soo, first thing I had to do was take it in....way in.
I still have a lot, A LOT, to learn. The neckline and hems on the sleeves need some help, but, its a lot better than it was originally! I hope she likes it!
and...cause I'm a nerd:
I love me some cupcakes!
